Questions about live production, answered

Frequently asked questions

Here are the questions producers and venues ask us most often. If yours is not covered, send it through the contact page and we will reply in writing.

What kinds of productions do you work on?

We work on live television, streamed events, conferences, concerts and studio days. Our focus is multi-camera switching, real-time video operation and running the control room. If you are unsure whether your event suits us, describe it through the contact page and we will say honestly whether we can help.

Do you provide the equipment as well as the crew?

Yes. We can supply portable production decks with a technical crew for outside broadcasts and studio days. We can also operate on equipment you already own. Tell us what you have and what you need, and we will confirm what we would bring.

Can you design a control room for our building?

We plan and fit out compact control rooms, including rack layout, monitor walls, cabling and intercom. We start with a conversation about your shows, space and staff, then agree a plan in writing. Callum builds the racks and routing, and Oliver oversees the overall design.

How early should we get in touch before an event?

As early as you can, since site visits, rehearsals and crew availability all take time. For a simple one-day show a few weeks is often comfortable, while a new control room needs longer. If your date is close, tell us and we will say what is realistic.

What do you need from us before a live show?

We need the running order, the number of cameras and other sources, any graphics or replay requirements, and details of the venue and power. A contact who can make decisions on the day also helps. We will send a short checklist once you enquire.

Do you handle live streaming from start to finish?

We operate the whole chain for streamed events: encoding, signal routing and monitoring of the outgoing feed. Hannah coordinates the production and keeps you updated. The platform you stream to is your choice, and we work with whatever you already use.

Can you train our own staff to run live shows?

Yes. Our operator training covers switching, signal flow and live show discipline through practical sessions. Priya and the crew teach on real equipment, and we can adapt the sessions to your team's experience. We agree the content with you beforehand.

Where are you based and do you travel?

We are based at 14 Trafalgar Lane, Brighton, and travel to venues and studios for outside broadcasts and studio days. Travel and any overnight needs are discussed when we prepare your quotation, so there are no surprises.
